The review & publishing workflow

Every post moves through a simple, auditable workflow:

1. Draft — the author is writing.
2. Pending — submitted; waiting for a reviewer.
3. Approved — signed off, but not yet public.
4. Published — live on the public reader.

Approval alone does not make a post public — publishing does. In the Review queue, open a post and choose Approve & publish to do both in one click, or Approve only to publish later. You can also Reject with a reason (sent to the author) or Unpublish a live post.

Once published, the post is readable by anyone at /read/{slug}/posts/{post} — no account needed — and is picked up by search engines and RSS.
